Simplicity in Living
A kind of wisdom and luxury
Simplicity is wisdom.
It is because it takes someone to look beyond the illusion that we have created. We have been conditioned to think that we need many things in our lives to feel satisfied. However, to be well lived, having a meaningful life and purpose does not require us to do or have many things to feel fulfilled. Wisdom is having that clarity of knowing what we want and do not want, and make conscious choices daily that brings us closer to our core purpose. It is shedding away the mental expectations, the aimless running and chasing of things that do no matter.
Simplicity is a choice of luxury.
To be able to choose what we wish to focus on is an indication of having choices. When we have options, we are living with abundance. Abundance is a luxury. The more torn we are between choices and decisions, the more luxurious we are. It is critical at this junction to have that clarity of what we want and don’t want — the wisdom I mentioned above. Even if we do not know yet, we can sit with it. There is no rush to make choices or to jump with the waves of consumerism and trends.
Simplicity speaks volume.
