Plant-based vs Meat?
I shared that my personal preference is to eat a vegetable-only diet. However, I have never shared my dislike to people having a meat diet. Most of my family and friends take meat, and I have no qualms about that.
As I begin to advocate for conscious living, I noticed that some vegetarian/vegan could get quite defensive on WHY taking meat is not good. Even with my preference in place, I don’t think it is right to tell people what they should or should not eat. My role is to advocate and share the knowledge on the impact of our food choices on the environment, and the decision is still yours. Each time we tell people, don’t eat meat, don’t eat seafood, don’t this or that, we are creating a division between groups of people.
A plant-based diet is not entirely environmentally friendly. Many crops grown are ladened with pesticides, contributing to both environmental and health issues.
My intention to share about these topics comes from my love for nature. This connection opens me up towards living consciously, and I grew interested in wanting to understand and share where our food comes from, its impact health-wise, ethically & environmentally. Eat anything you like, as long as you are conscious of what you are eating. Promote love and peace. Be curious about learning, develop a sense of keen discernment, not spend time judging other people’s view and debating about diets.
After all, we are in this together. It is us against each other, or us for mother nature, and which side are you on? We either live together, humanity as a whole, or perish together.
