I enjoy seeing humans in their natural forms.
No frills and no make-up,
awkward and raw.
Wrinkled lines,
asymmetrical face,
freckles that look like constellations,
also, moles like tiny eyes.
Flat hair, unruly hair.
Frizzy or messy hair.
It doesn’t matter,
Because there is something vulnerable
and authentic to be witnessed in this manner.
No hair gel, no glasses to hide behind.
These images are imperfect, but they never lie.

I enjoy seeing the human in their naked form. When they are caught off guard without the shields (the ones we wear wherever we go). I enjoy the human without makeup we put to feel better, the hair gel and glasses to look more professional, the suit and tie, the dresses and heels. What I want to see, is a human, without anything with hope to alleviate their insecurity. Without a tool to enhance the imperfect perfect being that they already are.

I want to witness a human as they are. At times when she’s feeling scared and lonely, lost and raw. The man who in his quiet nights pondered around questions he never dared to ask or…
