A Bagful of Emotions

I can understand why someone says that they are carrying a big bag of emotions. That is how I feel I am sometimes, a bagful of mix feelings. Anger, sadness, fear, hope, Joy, gratitude, confusion, jealousy.

And some days my bag gets lighter, some days it gets cumbersome. Every day I empty it, sort it out, make sure I throw away the bad stuff and remember only the good thing. But I wonder maybe, embracing ourselves is not about just throwing away these bad feelings. Perhaps it is to pick it up, hold it, see it from various angles, watch it, stay with it, and sometimes from a different perspective, that emotion/ energy has transformed into something else like peace, patience and tranquillity. Then I realise that maybe emotions are not separated into individual objects but instead, they could be a whole of everything and it is just a matter of which angle we are looking at.

If we picked the object from the angle that is showing an ugly emotion, we could turn it around and see the good of it.

Maybe this is what it means to become whole. To allow this integration of darkness and light, yin and yang, sun and moon. Accept it and embrace it. And imagine if I do not have to throw away anything daily? What if all I need is to master how to see things differently, and to play around with these energies? What do you think?
